Physical Therapist Reviews Hot Cherry

I recently tested the Hot Cherry pillow and found it to be a much safer form of heat than heating pads for extended use - especially overnight. A heating pad continuously releases the same amount of heat, whereas the cherry pillows will slowly cool down. I have had the experience where a patient had fallen asleep on a heating pad, the toweling slipped off, and the patient had a burn when they awoke. After the Hot Cherry pillow was heated for 4 minutes, then wrapped in a couple of layers of terry cloth toweling, the cherry pit pillows were still comfortably warm after 5 hours! I was surprised myself! I thought they would cool off after 1/2 hour. I can definitely recommend this natural heat source to my patients that benefit from heat applications.

Chiropractor Recommends Hot Cherry

Moist heat has a distinct advantage over dry heat,  because it does not dehydrate the tissue, whereas, moist heat can increase circulation bringing oxygen and blood flow to areas of tension. In my practice, I often recommend “icing” for 20 minutes and “heat” for 20 minutes alternately. I find the “Hot Cherry” therapeutic pillows to be an excellent tool for both doctor and patients.

Massage Therapist Loves Hot Cherry

As a massage therapist to a highly active clientele in Beverly Hills (many A-list celebrities¬¬) I use the “Hot Cherry” pillow as aid in the initial relaxation of these very stressed out people. I heat up the pillow as my client gets ready on the table. When it’s piping hot, I place the sheet over the persons back, as they lay face down. I begin the massage with the feet, so that when I get to the lumbar/lower back, much of the spasm and stress usually there, has "let go". Then I move the cherry pit pillow, which is still hot, to the upper back, and I work under the scapula/wings, as this aids in soothing this area as well. My clients love this technique; I hear, AHHH! as they relax.

An added bonus is the cherry scent of the pits when heated. I was amazed that heating the cherry pits emits a wondrous smell of cherry pie! Anyone can do this for their loved ones as well, it’s really a special treat to experience.

I also use the pillow on a cold winter evening or early morning to take away the chill, either at my feet, under the covers or over my shoulders at the base of my neck. I often need this aid, as I get very tight from doing massage. I recommend Hot Cherry Therapeutic Pillows to all massage therapists. You will look forward to this daily ritual, once you incorporate it into your repertoire of self help tools.
As Paris Hilton would say, “They're hot"!

Hot Cherry Aids in Colon Therapy

In my practice I use the Hot Cherry Therapeutic Pillows regularly. I like all of the sizes for particular reasons. However, I find that the #3 or 3-part pillow is most useful–– I call it the “core wrap”. Because of it’s length, I am able to wrap it around the core of the body, from front to back, including colon, liver, stomach and spine, as well as lower on the abdomen, pelvis and hips. The intense moist heat stimulates organs and muscles, allowing the body to let go and release toxins, supporting the cleansing and restorative goal of my practice. My patients love the relaxing quality of the Hot Cherry therapeutic pillow and often buy one to take home.

Nurse uses Hot Cherry® to Relieve Neuropathy Pain

"My husband is a diabetic, and as a result of the disease, would often experience neuropathy of his big toe during the night which was extremely painful and would keep him from being able to sleep. We have discovered that by using a Hot Cherry therapeutic pillow which is warmed slightly in a microwave and placed down by his feet, he no longer experiences sleepless, painful nights."

Durable and Therapeutic

"These cherry pit pillows should last for quite some time. They are well constructed with a heavier material. The slightly heavier weight helps to keep the pillow in place. Soothing moist heat helps bring pain relief and circulation to the area it is applied to. And an added delight is the fragrance of cherry that drifts from the heated pillow. I use these with clients in my holistic health/massage practice, www.seniormassagegroup.com. I love to hear the sounds of contentment when applied to aching backs! "
